Typing basics
Bottom Row Typing Practice: Finding Z Through M
is designed for small-scale exercises for lower row extension, return and adjacent key confusion to prevent the whole hand from sliding along with it.
Find it first by practicing in the lower row.
When first learning, the lower row of buttons makes it easy for people to drag their whole hand down. Take a look at the actual layout first to confirm the orientation of the target relative to the base position. After returning to the screen, practice only one or two new keys and see if you still know where the other fingers are after typing.
Different keyboard misalignments, keycaps, and hand conditions can affect feel. The fingering chart can be used as a reference. The movements should be stable and comfortable. Do not force your fingers to reach uncomfortable positions.
uses round trip combination to expose problems
You can try short combinations such as dc cd, fv vf, jm mj, etc., and choose a set that suits your layout and fingering. Getting it right once does not mean you have mastered it. You have to change the order and try again. When continuous misalignment occurs, stop and reposition, and do not become more familiar with the wrong rhythm.
brings combination back to short words
Select simple words or self-composed short sentences containing the target letters, and check whether the action is maintained after turning attention to the content. If you can press single keys but always miss characters in words, the problem may be in connection or reading, and you need to practice together with the characters before and after.
Self-examination today
Pick a group of difficult moves, practice them a few times and then change to a new line. Only record the most obvious problem: unable to find the target, encountering an adjacent key, or getting lost after returning. Next time you adjust your practice based on this problem, you don't have to practice the entire lower row all over again.
