Audio Transcription vs Copy Typing: Practicing Listening and Input
arranges comprehension, temporary storage of information and keyboard input separately, and does not need to copy the word speed to replace the listening and typing ability.
The input sources of the two tasks are different.
When reading and typing, you can look back at the original text, while when listening and typing, you have to deal with sound understanding and short-term memory. Seeing and typing quickly but having difficulty hearing and typing does not necessarily mean that the keyboard has deteriorated. Make sure you understand the material first, and then practice typing. Do not add unfamiliar accents and new key positions to the first round at the same time.
Use the short material that can be paused first
You can read a short paragraph of what you have written, and then play the recording for practice; only record your own examples without sensitive information. Listen to a short sentence each time, pause and record it, and then check it with the original text. Pauses will be reduced as you gradually become familiar with it, but it is not required to keep up in real time at the beginning.
Make it clear whether it is verbatim or key points
The verbatim record needs to retain the original words, and the key point record is allowed to be summarized. The two cannot be measured by the same character accuracy. Agree on the task before practicing, otherwise you may get a lot of differences in the word-for-word comparison due to active summarization, but mistakenly think that your input ability is poor.
Today’s practice and inspection
Use four sentences of a self-composed essay to do a reading and listening session and a segmented listening session respectively. The difficulty in recording is whether I didn't hear clearly, couldn't remember, or couldn't press the button in time. Work on only one link at a time, slow down the material if necessary, and don't spend all your time repeating letter drills.
