Typing Code Identifiers: Case, Underscores and Numbers
Practice character details with self-written identifiers without sensitive information to avoid editor completion covering up input errors.
Similar names need to be confirmed character by character
totalCount, total_count and totalCount2 have different forms and cannot be replaced according to your own habits when copying. Check the target's capitalization and delimiters before typing. The goal of keyboard practice is character accuracy, which does not mean that these naming forms are suitable for every programming specification.
Separate the difficult boundary
If the error occurs when converting from lowercase to uppercase, practice the characters before and after the target character; if the underline is difficult to find, first confirm the layout and modifier keys, and then return the complete name. Just practicing the letters themselves may not improve the pauses at the joints.
Distinguish between automatic completion and manual input
The editor may recommend or replace identifiers, but plain text exercises do not have the same functionality. The usage environment should be noted in the exercise record, and the speed after completion cannot be directly used as the manual character input speed. In actual work, tools can be used appropriately according to tasks.
Today’s practice and inspection
self-composes six short names, mixed with upper and lower case, underline and numbers at the end. Enter them one by one and then form a few lines of simple text. Check each boundary and record the missing modifier keys or not see them clearly. Retest with a new set of names to avoid becoming familiar with fixed examples.
