How to Keep a Useful Typing Error Log

Use the four columns of goal, actual output, reason and retest to organize scattered mistakes into executable tasks.

Don’t just copy down all the red letters

Wrong questions should help you choose the next step, rather than increase the burden of sorting. Only record one to three repeat questions at a time. Occasional small mistakes with clear reasons can be ignored, and priority should be given to connections, symbols, or candidate errors that often cause you to rework.

Four columns are enough to start

records the target text, actual output, reason for suspicion and next verification method. For example, the target red cup, the actual redcup, the reason may be that the words are too fast, use a new two-word phrase for verification. The reasons are written as hypotheses first, and no conclusions can be drawn based on one observation.

Review needs to change context

After practicing the wrong word separately, replace it with a new sentence that contains the same difficulty. If the retest no longer occurs, and the general practice becomes more stable in the next few times, it can be temporarily removed from the focus list. Don’t let solved problems take up all your time.

Today’s practice and inspection

Select a question from the most recent results and write it completely in four columns. Next time test this hypothesis before deciding to continue or modify. If the record only contains "carelessness" or "too slow", change it into specific characters or operations so that the wrong question book can truly guide practice.
