High Typing Scores, Slow Work? A Practical Transfer Checklist
Break down real-world tasks from reading, ideating, editing, and checking to identify bottlenecks beyond speed scores.
test does not include all working links
Exercises are usually given a target text, and the work may include checking information, thinking about content, organizing structure, and checking facts. If you have high test scores but are slow to write documents, you may not necessarily need more key training. First, distinguish whether time is spent on ideation or actual input.
Make a small task comparison
Use a ready-made fictitious notice to read and write, and then write your own paragraph according to similar requirements. The gap between the two can prompt changes in the task, but it cannot be regarded as a strict experiment. Observe what you are doing when you stop: looking for words, organizing content, looking up numbers, or finding keys.
Select training by bottleneck
If you are slow in ideation, you can list key points first; if you are slow in editing, you can practice document operations; if numbers are easy to make mistakes, you can practice checking them; only when the key connection is stuck, you need to specialize in typing. Don’t pin all office productivity issues on one WPM number.
Today’s practice and inspection
completes a small simulation task and records preparation, input and inspection times respectively. Select the link that most affects the results and make a change, then observe it with a new task. Aim to get a correct, complete finished product faster, rather than increasing the peak value of the tapping phase alone.
