Quotation Marks and Brackets: Practice Paired Punctuation

A sequence of checks from a pair of symbols to an embedded sentence, distinguishing target text from automatic pairing with the editor.

First identify the symbols used in the original text

English straight quotation marks, Chinese curved quotation marks, half-angle brackets and full-angle brackets are not the same characters. See the target clearly first, then check the system layout and punctuation patterns. Don't use your own symbols to replace the transcription requirements just because the meaning of the sentence is the same.

starts with a pair instead of a whole row of symbols

First enter (red), and then enter a short sentence containing this fragment. When practicing, check the beginning, internal content, and end, not just to see whether there are two arcs. The quotation marks can also be practiced in the same way, and then add punctuation at the end of the sentence.

Pay attention to auto-completion behavior

Some editors will automatically add closing brackets or quotation marks, but web page exercises may not. If there is always one more ending symbol, first check whether automatic pairing and manual input overlap. Don't conflate the behavior of different editing environments, and don't use deletion habits to cover up unclear settings.

Today’s practice and inspection

Compose three sentences of text each containing a pair of symbols. Enter the original text and check it pair by pair. After stabilization, try two different symbol combinations to avoid direct complicated nesting. Finally, use a new sentence to verify and record whether the beginning, end or symbol type is missing.
